In December 2024, experiments were carried out in the Mont Terri underground laboratory in Switzerland as part of the Master's thesis by Ole Woock. The experiments aimed to compare the recognition of different AR markers under different conditions. The Samsung Galaxy S20+ was used. Experiment 1: Visualization and filtering of objects (at SW-A experiment site): Using a marker on the ground, the user visualizes the geometry of boreholes and instrumentations. Experiment 2: Visualizing boreholes (at CL experiment site): Using markers attached to cabinets on the wall, the user reveals boreholes on a wall surface nearby. Experiment 3: Visualizing tunnel segments and tunnel metering: Tunnel segments are displayed and meter markings are projected onto the floor. Abbreviations of the marker types: DataMatrix = Mont Terri zone target, PT = Plaint Text, C128 = Code 128/Barcode, QR1 = QR-Code 6-characters-coded, QR2 = QR-Code 102-characters-coded, VuM = Vuforia VuMark.de_DE
