Evaluated experimental data of the flow field around pitching and plunging airfoils, which has been manipulated by a dielctric barrier discharge plasma actuator (DBD-PA). The goal of the manipulation is to prolong the growth phase of the leading edge vortex to finally attain higher overall lift. Flow fields contain video files (.avi and .gif) in which the flow fields of the unactuated case (Base) is compared to one with flow control (FC). These are compared for different motion kinematics and dynamics of a pitching and plunging airfoil and of a NACA 0012 airfoil (more realistic). Vortex identification data contain plots and raw data of the leading edge vortex circulation, area and position. Parameters of the flow, airfoil motion, plasm aactuator, correlation algorithm and vortex identification mathodology can be found in Kissing et al. 2020 (under revision).
