Dataset containing load profiles of two machine tools, corresponding production schedules, lists of processed workpieces, and MES-based production timestamps

Abstract

Description

Dataset accompanying the paper "Production lot-specific allocation of energy demand using data mining on machine tool load profiles" by Andreas Wächter [0000-0002-7687-253X] and Ivan Uzunov [0009-0005-3781-9946]. This dataset contains the electrical load profiles of two machine tools, DMG Mori CMX600V and DMG Mori DMU50. The load profiles were recorded at the main power connection of each machine using an Emonio P3 measurement system. The sampling rate is 26 kHz and was aggregated within the measurement device to a time series (ts) of 1 Hz. A total of 21 different production orders were processed. Each production order contains a lot of identical workpieces. Detailed specifications of the individual production orders are provided in the document production_schedule. Pictures of the manufactured workpieces can be found in the document pictures_workpieces. During manufacturing, each workpiece is manually reclamped once, resulting in two separate production intervals per workpiece. The real start and end times of the machining operations for each individual workpiece were recorded using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The corresponding timestamps for each machine are provided in the documents MES_Export_timestamps. The use of this dataset is governed by the corresponding license agreement. Users are required to appropriately acknowledge and cite the source of the dataset in any publication or other work based on these data.
