Real and Simulated Lidar Data

Abstract

Description

This dataset contains real and simulated lidar data of a simple static scenario where a square and flat lidar target is positioned in front of the sensor at different distances. The real data is captured with an Ouster OS1 lidar sensor. For generating the corresponding simulated data, the [Sensor Model Development Library](https://www.persival.de/smdl) provided by Persival GmbH was used. The implementation of the individual sensor effects was carried out by Kristof Hofrichter, an employee of the FZD at Technical University of Darmstadt. Further information about the data is provided in the metadata.txt file.
