Measurement of Instantaneous Angular Speed in a Helical Gear Box using Magnetoresistive Sensors
Description
This data set was created as part of a cooperation project between the Institute of Product Development and Machine Elements of the TU Darmstadt and the SENSITEC GmbH. They developed different sensor concepts based on magnetoresistive effects for measuring the instantaneous angular speed (IAS) of helical gears. Based on the IAS measurement the fault condition of the helical gear is evaluated. The helical gear is artifically damaged through milling in five damage conditions. The damage is similar to a pitting damage. Further Information is attached to the pdf-file, which describes the test design.
The support of this project through the SEW-EURODRIVE GmbH & Co KG is gratefully acknowledged.
