# PHOS4D project data case study Pompeii

Reconstruction model, simulation data and results of the case study conducted with the Insula XI, (Regio I) in the ancient city and archaeological site Pompeii, Italy.

All coordinates are EPSG:3004 (Monte Mario / Italy zone 2).
v11 refers to the 11th iteration of simulation/modelling.
01_11 refers to the Regio 3, Insula XI.
01_11_01_02-0-3 refers to room number 3 in the ground floor of house 01/02.
More information on room numbers are found in folder „database“ including plans in the folder „binaries“.

## check_images
Fisheye images of all rooms 

## geometric models
Latest iteration of the geometric reconstruction model in editable form (Rhinoceros File Format v7, .3dm) and in archive format (Wavefront ASCII, .obj). For documentation of the reconstruction consult the project database (see folder "database")


## simulation_environment
Simulation environment including settings, scripts and results. The simulation is reproducible with the phos4dtools Software. See folder „phos4dtools“ for dependencies and documentation. The folder contains a running script for the bash shell (cleartext, run.sh) and the phos4dtools_setup file (cleartext, setup.cfg) Folders not mentioned further are generated by the tools and contain internal files suitable for debugging.

All files beginning with simulation_environment_results_* have to be copied into the folder simulation_environment/results and stripped of this beginning if a further analysis is planned.

contains the material models in Radiance format with comments (cleartext, materials_def.rad), 
Basepoint for the internal, lokal coordinates used within the simulation (cleartext, basepoint.txt)
Weather data in EnergyPlus Weather File format (cleartext, naples.epw, location Napoli-Capodichino - ITA)

### check_images
Fisheye images of all rooms in Radiance HDR format (.hdr).
### results
The raw simulation results in NumPy format (see folder „phos4dtools“ for documentation, .npz) and the condensed results in Tab-separated values Format (cleartext, see column descriptions for more information, .tsv) as generated in the „analyse“ step of the phos4dtools.

Condensed results in Tab-separated values Format (cleartext, see column descriptions for more information, .tsv) as generated in the „analyse“ step of the phos4dtools and as uploaded to the GIS environment.

## analysis_GIS,tables
Geopackages and tables generated from the project database. For more information see documentation.docx in this folder.
