AGREEMENT of 5 March 1973 amending the Agreement of the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States meeting in Council of 28 May 1969 concerning standstill and information for the Commission

THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE MEMBER STATES, MEETING IN COUNCIL,

Whereas the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting in Council, concluded on 5 March 1973 an Agreement on information for the Commission and for the Member States with a view to possible harmonization throughout the Communities of urgent measures concerning the protection of the environment (1);

Whereas the Governments of the Member States and the Commission should not have to comply with different periods of time for completing the procedures, depending on whether they are applying the above Agreement or the Agreement of the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting in Council, of 28 May 1969 concerning standstill and information for the Commission (2);

HAVE AGREED:

To amend as follows the Agreement by the Representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting in Council, of 28 May 1969 concerning standstill and information for the Commission: - in paragraph 1 (a), 9th line, the words "six months" shall be replaced by "five months"

- in paragraph 1 (b), 2nd indent, 1st line, the words "one month" shall be replaced by "two months"

- in paragraph 1 (b), 3rd indent, 4th line, the words "six months" shall be replaced by "five months". (1)See p. 1 of this Official Journal. (2)OJ No C 76, 17.6.1969, p. 9.
