THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Atomic Energy Community, and in particular Article 134 thereof,

Having regard to the opinion of the Commission,

Whereas, by its Decision of 13 October 1998(1), as supplemented by its Decisions of 14 December 2000 and of 1 March 2002(2), the Council appointed the members of the Scientific and Technical Committee for the period 1 April 1998 to 31 March 2003,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following are hereby appointed members of the Scientific and Technical Committee for the period 1 April 2003 to 31 March 2008:
