designating the representative organizations of workers in Spain required to draw up lists of candidates for the representation of workers on the Consultative Committee of the European Coal and Steel Community

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, and in particular to Article 18 thereof,

Whereas in its Decision of 23 October 1995 (1) the Council designated the representative organizations of producers and workers required to draw up lists of candidates for the representation of producers and workers on the Consultative Committee of the European Coal and Steel Community, except for the representative organizations of workers in Spain;

Whereas the representative organizations of workers in Spain, which are required to draw up lists of twice as many candidates as there are seats allotted to them, should be designated;

Whereas a notification has been submitted by the Spanish Government,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The representative workers' organizations listed in the table annexed to this Decision are hereby designated to draw up lists of candidates on the basis of which the members representing workers on the Consultative Committee of the European Coal and Steel Community shall be appointed in numbers equal to those shown in the abovementioned table in respect of those same organizations.

Article 2

This Decision shall be published, for information, in the Official Journal of the European Communities.
