RECOMMENDATION OF THE COMMISSION

of 28 February 1986

to the Member States on the extension of the period of validity of the transitional measures adopted in respect of ACP States and overseas countries and territories:

- Council Regulation (EEC) No 485/85,

- Council Regulation (EEC) No 486/85,

- Council Decision 85/159/EEC,

- Decision 85/160/ECSC of the representatives of the Government of the Member States of the European Coal and Steel Community, meeting within the Council of 26 February 1985

The Commission has presented to the Council proposals for extending the period of validity of the Regulations and Decisions on the transitional arrangements adopted in respect of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (ACP) and the overseas countries and territories. The Council has not yet reached a decision on those proposals.

Pending a decision, Member States are hereby invited by the Commission to continue to apply the arrangements laid down in the Regulations and Decisions listed above, subject to the decision which, it is expected, will shortly be reached by the Council.
