COUNCIL RECOMMENDATION of 13 July 1981 on the carriage of express low weight cargo by air (81/560/EEC)

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, and in particular Article 84 (2) thereof,

Recalling its conclusions on 6 December 1979 in which it took note of the Commission's memorandum on the contribution of the European Communities to the development of air transport services,

HEREBY RECOMMENDS

that Member States should facilitate the carriage of express low weight cargo by air on existing services and treat applications for the introduction of new services in this sector as favourably as possible taking into account the market situation;

HEREBY INVITES

the Commission to examine this subject further and to report to the Council in due course.
