amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 103/2003 of 26 September 2003(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 666/2003 of 11 April 2003 provisionally authorising the use of certain micro-organisms in feedingstuffs(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 668/2003 of 11 April 2003 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 676/2003 of 14 April 2003 amending Regulation (EC) No 1334/2001 concerning the provisional authorisation of a new additive in feedingstuffs(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(5) Commission Regulation (EC) No 871/2003 of 20 May 2003 permanently authorising a new additive manganomanganic oxide in feedingstuffs(5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(6) Commission Regulation (EC) No 877/2003 of 21 May 2003 provisionally authorising the use of the acidity regulator "Benzoic acid" in feedingstuffs(6) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Chapter II of Annex I to the Agreement is amended as follows:

1. The following is added in point 1v (Commission Regulation (EC) No 1334/2001):

", as amended by:

- 32003 R 0676: Commission Regulation (EC) No 676/2003 of 14 April 2003 (OJ L 97, 15.4.2003, p. 29)."

2. The following points are inserted after point 1zc (Commission Directive 2002/70/EC):

"1zd. 32003 R 0666: Commission Regulation (EC) No 666/2003 of 11 April 2003 provisionally authorising the use of certain micro-organisms in feedingstuffs (OJ L 96, 12.4.2003, p. 11).

1ze. 32003 R 0668: Commission Regulation (EC) No 668/2003 of 11 April 2003 concerning the permanent authorisation of an additive in feedingstuffs (OJ L 96, 12.4.2003, p. 14).

1zf. 32003 R 0871: Commission Regulation (EC) No 871/2003 of 20 May 2003 permanently authorising a new additive, manganomanganic oxide, in feedingstuffs (OJ L 125, 21.5.2003, p. 3).

1zg. 32003 R 0877: Commission Regulation (EC) No 877/2003 of 21 May 2003 provisionally authorising the use of the acidity regulator 'Benzoic acid' in feedingstuffs (OJ L 126, 22.5.2003, p. 24)."

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) No 666/2003, (EC) No 668/2003, (EC) No 676/2003, (EC) No 871/2003 and (EC) No 877/2003 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 6 December 2003, provided that all the notifications pursuant to Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(7).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
