amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

(1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 66/2003 of 20 June 2003(1).

(2) Commission Decision 2002/615/EC of 22 July 2002 amending Decision 92/486/EEC establishing the form of cooperation between the ANIMO host centre and the Member States(2), as corrected by OJ L 66, 11.3.2003, p. 51, is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Decision 2002/986/EC of 13 December 2002 amending Decisions 2001/881/EC drawing up a list of border inspection posts approved for veterinary checks on animals and animal products from third countries, and 2002/459/EC listing the units in the ANIMO computer network(3), as corrected by OJ L 4, 9.1.2003, p. 24, is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) This Decision is not to apply to Liechtenstein,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Part 1.2 of Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1. The following indent shall be added in point 12 (Commission Decision 92/486/EEC):

"- 32002 D 0615: Commission Decision 2002/615/EC of 22 July 2002 (OJ L 196, 25.7.2002, p. 60), as corrected by OJ L 66, 11.3.2003, p. 51."

2. The following indent shall be added in point 39 (Commission Decision 2001/881/EC):

"- 32002 D 0986: Commission Decision 2002/986/EC of 13 December 2002 (OJ L 344, 19.12.2002, p. 20), as corrected by OJ L 4, 9.1.2003, p. 24."

3. The following shall be added in point 46 (Commission Decision 2002/459/EC):

", as amended by:

- 32002 D 0986: Commission Decision 2002/986/EC of 13 December 2002 (OJ L 344, 19.12.2002, p. 20), as corrected by OJ L 4, 9.1.2003, p. 24."

Article 2

The texts of Decisions 2002/615/EC, as corrected by OJ L 66, 11.3.2003, p. 51, and 2002/986/EC, as corrected by OJ L 4, 9.1.2003, p. 24, in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 27 September 2003, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(4).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Union.
