amending Annex XXI (Statistics) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex XXI to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 92/2002 of the EEA Joint Committee of 25 June 2002(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 29/2002 of 19 December 2001 amending Council Regulation (EEC) No 3037/90 on the statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Annex XXI to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1. the following indent shall be added in point 20 (Council Regulation (EEC) No 3037/90):

"- 32002 R 0029: Commission Regulation (EC) No 29/2002 of 19 December 2001 (OJ L 6, 10.1.2002, p. 3.)";

2. in point 2 of the sectoral adaptations the words "as subsequently amended," shall be inserted after the words "Council Regulation (EEC) No 3037/90 of 9 October 1990 on the statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community,".

Article 2

The texts of Regulation (EC) No 29/2002 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 13 July 2002, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(3).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
