amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 81/2002 of the EEA Joint Committee of 25 June 2002(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 548/2000 of 14 March 2000 amending Regulation (EEC) No 94/92 laying down detailed rules for implementing the arrangements for imports from third countries provided for in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1616/2000 of 24 July 2000 amending Regulation (EEC) No 94/92 laying down detailed rules for implementing the arrangements for imports from third countries provided for in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2426/2000 of 31 October 2000 amending Regulation (EEC) No 94/92 laying down detailed rules for implementing the arrangements for imports from third countries provided for in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(5) Commission Regulation (EC) No 349/2001 of 21 February 2001 amending Regulation (EEC) No 94/92 laying down detailed rules for implementing the arrangements for imports from third countries provided for in Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91(5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following indents shall be added in point 54b (Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91) of Chapter XII of Annex II to the Agreement:

"- 32000 R 0548: Commission Regulation (EC) No 548/2000 of 14 March 2000 (OJ L 67, 15.3.2000, p. 12),

- 32000 R 1616: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1616/2000 of 24 July 2000 (OJ L 185, 25.7.2000, p. 62),

- 32000 R 2426: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2426/2000 of 31 October 2000 (OJ L 279, 1.11.2000, p. 19),

- 32001 R 0349: Commission Regulation (EC) No 349/2001 of 21 February 2001 (OJ L 52, 22.2.2001, p. 14)."

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) No 548/2000, (EC) No 1616/2000, (EC) No 2426/2000 and (EC) No 349/2001 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 13 July 2002, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(6).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
