amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 149/2001 of 11 December 2001(1).

(2) Commission Decision 2001/301/EC of 11 April 2001 amending Decision 92/486/EEC establishing the form of cooperation between the ANIMO host centre and the Member States(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Decision 2001/313/EC of 4 April 2001 amending for the second time Decision 1999/766/EC on certain protective measures in respect of infectious salmon anaemia in salmonids in Norway(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) This Decision is not to apply to Liechtenstein,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Part 1.2 of Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1. The following indent shall be added in point 12 (Commission Decision 92/486/EEC):

"- 32001 D 0301: Commission Decision 2001/301/EC of 11 April 2001 (OJ L 102, 12.4.2001, p. 73)."

2. The following indent shall be added in point 90 (Commission Decision 1999/766/EC):

"- 32001 D 0313: Commission Decision 2001/313/EC of 4 April 2001 (OJ L 109, 19.4.2001, p. 67)."

Article 2

The texts of Decisions 2001/301/EC and 2001/313/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 26 June 2002, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(4).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
