amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 1/2002 of 1 February 2002(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1553/2001 of 30 July 2001 amending Annex I to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90 laying down a Community procedure for the establishment of maximum residue limits of veterinary medicinal products in foodstuffs of animal origin(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1680/2001 of 22 August 2001 amending Annexes I and II to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90 laying down a Community procedure for the establishment of maximum residue limits of veterinary medicinal products in foodstuffs of animal origin(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1815/2001 of 14 September 2001 amending Annexes I, II and III to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90 laying down a Community procedure for the establishment of maximum residue limits of veterinary medicinal products in foodstuffs of animal origin(4), as corrected by OJ L 268, 9.10.2001, p. 50, is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(5) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1879/2001 of 26 September 2001 amending Annex II to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90 laying down a Community procedure for the establishment of maximum residue limits of veterinary medicinal products in foodstuffs of animal origin(5) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following indents shall be added in point 14 (Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90) in Chapter XIII of Annex II to the Agreement:

"- 32001 R 1553: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1553/2001 of 30 July 2001 (OJ L 205, 31.7.2001, p. 16),

- 32001 R 1680: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1680/2001 of 22 August 2001 (OJ L 227, 23.8.2001, p. 33),

- 32001 R 1815: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1815/2001 of 14 September 2001 (OJ L 246, 15.9.2001, p. 11), as corrected by OJ L 268, 9.10.2001, p. 50,

- 32001 R 1879: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1879/2001 of 26 September 2001 (OJ L 258, 27.9.2001, p. 11)."

Article 2

The texts of Regulations (EC) Nos 1553/2001, 1680/2001, 1815/2001, as corrected by OJ L 268, 9.10.2001, p. 50, and 1879/2001 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 2 March 2002, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(6).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
