amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) of the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 64/2001 of 19 June 2001(1).

(2) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1073/2000 of 19 May 2000 amending Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 on organic production of agricultural products and indications referring thereto on agricultural products and foodstufs(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Regulation (EC) No 1437/2000 of 30 June 2000 amending Section C of Annex VI to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 on organic production of agricultural products and indications referring thereto on agricultural products and foodstuffs(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(4) Commission Regulation (EC) No 2020/2000 of 25 September 2000 amending Regulation (EEC) No 207/93 defining the content of Annex VI to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 and amending Section C of Annex VI to Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 on organic production of agricultural products and indications referring thereto on agricultural products and foodstuffs(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following indents shall be added in point 54b (Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91) in Chapter XII of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 R 1073: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1073/2000 of 19 May 2000 (OJ L 119, 20.5.2000, p. 27),

- 32000 R 1437: Commission Regulation (EC) No 1437/2000 of 30 June 2000 (OJ L 161, 1.7.2000, p. 62),

- 32000 R 2020: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2020/2000 of 25 September 2000 (OJ L 241, 26.9.2000, p. 39)."

Article 2

The following indent shall be added in point 54e (Commission Regulation (EEC) No 207/93) in Chapter XII of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 R 2020: Commission Regulation (EC) No 2020/2000 of 25 September 2000 (OJ L 241, 26.9.2000, p. 39)."

Article 3

The texts of Commission Regulations (EC) No 1073/2000, No 1437/2000 and No 2020/2000 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities shall be authentic.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on 29 September 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(5).

Article 5

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
