amending Annex XIII (transport) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex XIII to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 49/2001 of the Joint Committee of the EEA of 30 March 2001(1).

(2) Council Regulation (EC) No 2012/2000 of 21 September 2000 amending Annex4 to Protocol No 9 to the 1994 Act of Accession and Regulation (EC) No 3298/94 with regard to the system of ecopoints for heavy goods vehicles transiting through Austria(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

Annex XIII to the Agreement shall be amended as follows:

1. The following indent shall be added in points 26a (Council Regulation (EEC) No 881/92) and 26aa (Protocol 9 to the Act of Accession): "- 32000 R 2012: Council Regulation (EC) No 2012/2000 of 21 September 2000 amending Annex 4 to Protocol No 9 to the 1994 Act of Accession and Regulation (EC) No 3298/94 with regard to the system of ecopoints for heavy goods vehicles transiting through Austria (OJ L 241, 26.9.2000, p. 18)."

2. The table in adaptation (a) in point 26aa shall be replaced by the following:

Article 2

The texts of Regulation (EC) No 2012/2000 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 20 June 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(3).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
