amending Annex VI (social security) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex VI to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 43/2001 of the Joint Committee of the EEA of 30 March 2001(1).

(2) Decision of the Administrative Commission of the European Communities on Social Security for Migrant Workers No 177 of 5 October 1999 on the forms necessary for the application of Council Regulations (EEC) No 1408/71 and (EEC) No 574/72 (E 128 and E 128 B) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Decision of the Administrative Commission of the European Communities on Social Security for Migrant Workers No 178 of 9 December 1999 on the interpretation of Article 111(1) and (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 574/72(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following points shall be inserted after point 3.55 (Decision No 176) of Annex VI to the Agreement: "3.56 32000 D 0748: Decision of the Administrative Commission of the European Communities on Social Security for Migrant Workers No 177 of 5 October 1999 on the forms necessary for the application of Council Regulations (EEC) No 1408/71 and (EEC) No 574/72 (E 128 and E 128 B) (OJ L 302, 1.12.2000, p. 65).

3.57 32000 D 0749: Decision of the Administrative Commission of the European Communities on Social Security for Migrant Workers No 178 of 9 December 1999 on the interpretation of Article 111(1) and (2) of Regulation (EEC) No 574/72 (OJ L 302, 1.12.2000, p. 71)."

Article 2

The texts of Decisions Nos 177 and 178 in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 20 June 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(4).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA Section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
