amending Annex XX (Environment) to the EEA Agreement

THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE,

Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof,

Whereas:

(1) Annex XX to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 61/2000 of the EEA Joint Committee of 28 June 2000(1).

(2) Commission Decision 98/94/EC of 7 January 1998 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to tissue-paper products(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement.

(3) Commission Decision 2000/413/EC of 15 June 2000 modifying Decision 98/94/EC establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to tissue-paper products(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement,

HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Article 1

The following point shall be inserted after point 2er (Commission Decision 1999/698/EC) of Annex XX to the Agreement: "2es. 398 D 0094: Commission Decision 98/94/EC of 7 January 1998 establishing the ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label to tissue-paper products (OJ L 19, 24.1.1998, p. 77), as amended by:

- 32000 D 0413: Commission Decision 2000/413/EC of 15 June 2000 (OJ L 155, 28.6.2000, p. 63)."

Article 2

The texts of Decisions 98/94/EC and 2000/413/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on 24 February 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(4).

Article 4

This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities.
