ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL

annexed, following the accession of the Hellenic Republic to the European Communities, to the Protocol concerning commercial and economic cooperation between the European Coal and Steel Community and the Federative Republic of Brazil

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, ON BEHALF OF THE EUROPEAN COAL AND STEEL COMMUNITY,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF BELGIUM,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF DENMARK,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC,

THE GOVERNMENT OF IRELAND,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS,

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND,

of the one part, and

THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL,

of the other part,

HAVING REGARD to the accession of the Hellenic Republic to the European Communities on 1 January 1981,

HAVING REGARD to the Protocol concerning commercial and economic cooperation between the European Coal and Steel Community and the Federative Republic of Brazil, signed in Brussels on 18 September 1980 and hereinafter referred to as the 'Protocol',

HAVE DECIDED to make by common accord the required adjustments to the Protocol following the accession of the Hellenic Republic to the European Coal and Steel Community

and TO CONCLUDE THIS ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL:

Article 1

By this Additional Protocol the Hellenic Republic shall accede to the Protocol.

Article 2

A Greek language version of the text of the Protocol shall be drawn up and shall be authentic on the same basis as the original texts.

Article 3

This Additional Protocol shall enter into force on the first day of the month following notification by the Contracting Parties of the completion of the procedures necessary to this end. It shall lapse should the Protocol cease to apply.

Article 4

This Additional Protocol is drawn up in two copies in the Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Greek, Italian and Portuguese languages, each of these texts being equally authentic.
